Employee Dismissed from Armenia Fund for Participating in Protests

An employee of the Armenia Fund has been dismissed from their position for participating in protests organized by the "Resistance" movement.

“Dear friends, yesterday was my last working day at the Armenia Fund. I have had the honor of working in this exceptional organization since 2012, which has enriched Armenia and Artsakh for 30 years. I have worked with wonderful people, made great friends, and contributed to the realization of numerous large and small projects.

Yesterday, I was dismissed by the order of the Fund's director due to my participation in the demonstrations of the ‘Resistance’ movement (after working hours). My beloved organization was apolitical until 2018, when these capitulating powers began to fundamentally dismantle everything that embodies our national identity, and the first steps started precisely from the Fund, against our long-beloved director Ara Vardanyan.

I will return to my beloved Fund when there will no longer be 'temporary guests' there. The Fund will always exist and thrive.

My principles are above everything; losing a job is a very minor issue when faced with the danger of losing our homeland. I will fight against subservience to Turkey every day, every moment, within my capabilities, against the calamity that has placed an entire enlightened generation in Yerablur, whose bodies were kept in bags in basements for months, against those who surrendered 70% of Artsakh and are prepared to surrender the rest, against those who forget the Genocide, against those who hate their own nation, and against those who are terrified of the Artsakh flag. I urge all patriotic people who love this land and its waters to join the movement,” wrote Anna Manukyan, who was dismissed, on her Facebook page.

Auroranews contacted the public relations department of the Armenia Fund for clarification, where they stated that they would respond in writing.
