Avan Community Leader Forces Widow of Fallen Volunteer to Submit Resignation

The newly appointed head of the Avan administrative district, Vahe Hakobyan, and his deputy, Arsen Hovhannisyan, have reportedly forced the widow of volunteer Samuel Margaryan, who was killed in the 44-day war, to submit her resignation. This was disclosed by Liana Aghajanyan on her Facebook page.

"I, Liana Aghajanyan, the wife of volunteer Samuel Margaryan, who was killed in the 44-day war, worked as an office operator in the staff of the head of the Avan administrative district. The reason I am writing in the past tense is that yesterday I was compelled to submit a resignation letter by the newly appointed community leader, Vahe Manvel Hakobyan, and his deputy, Arsen Hovhannes Hovhannisyan. I do not wish to elaborate on the 'decent' language the deputy used while speaking to me; I will simply say that my husband died for the homeland, leaving me alone with our two children. In short, I am looking for a job to be able to pay the rent and support my children," she wrote.

In the comments, Liana was asked about the reason for her resignation, to which she replied: "It was because I hadn’t been standing up repeatedly every time the leader entered and exited the room."
