Video: Restaurant Owner in Lori Paid Women 1000 and 5000 Drams for Sexual Relations

Police in Tumanyan received operational information about facilitating prostitution. Acting on this information, two women from the Lori region presented themselves at the Tumanyan police station on May 2. One of the women reported that during 2020-2021, at a roadside restaurant on the Vanadzor-Alaverdi road, at the insistence and persuasion of the owner, she engaged in sexual acts with customers in exchange for money. After each meeting, the 61-year-old restaurant owner would pay her 1000 drams and keep the rest of the money, although they had previously agreed to share the earnings equally.

The other woman also reported that, upon the request and persuasion of the same restaurant owner, she had engaged in sexual relations with customers for about three years, also for money, and after each meeting, the 61-year-old owner would pay her 5000 drams.

During the preparation of materials, the identities of the restaurant's regular customers were confirmed. They were located and provided confessional explanations. Through the actions taken by the officers of the Tumanyan police department, the 61-year-old owner of the restaurant was also identified. A criminal case has been initiated and sent to the Investigative Committee.
