Police have detained protesters from various parts of Yerevan. A video has surfaced online showing how the detained protesters chant in the police bus transporting them.

Specifically, on April 17, the leader of the "Fatherland" party, Arthur Vanetsyan, called on citizens to join their struggle via a Facebook live broadcast from Freedom Square, and on April 22, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and member of the "Armenia" faction, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, announced the start of street protests.
