Tension at Victory Bridge: Participants of Auto-Column Detained

One of the auto-columns of the "Resistance" movement reached Victory Bridge, where red berets obstructed the participants of the auto-column and began detaining drivers, while the vehicles were taken to a penalty area.

In response to the question of why they were being detained, one of the red berets replied: "Because they are disrupting traffic. Traffic has come to a standstill because of them."

Babken Harutyunyan from the "Homeland" party told the police that there had been a verbal agreement that the procession should proceed in two lines; however, they were stopped on the bridge, and drivers were detained, with their vehicles now being taken to the penalty area.

It is noted that today, on May 16, the "Resistance" movement is conducting auto-processions in 5 directions in Yerevan. The day before, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament and MP from the "Armenia" faction Ishkhan Saghatelyan announced: "Starting at 8:00 AM, we will begin various types of actions, including auto-columns, and given the weather conditions, there will be no rally. On Tuesday, I consider it a very important day, as at 8:00 AM, there should be acts of disobedience throughout the city, and we need to form 80-100 groups that should go out into the streets to bring the entire city to a halt."
