Details of the Tragic Car Accident on the Nor Geghi Highway

The investigation department of the Kotayk regional investigative committee has initiated a criminal case in accordance with Article 242, Part 3 of the RA Criminal Code, to clarify the circumstances surrounding the fatal traffic accident that occurred on May 12, 2022, at approximately 18:30 on a 2-kilometer stretch of the Abovyan-Nor Geghi highway.

According to preliminary data, the driver of a BMW 525 I veered into the opposite lane and collided with a MITSUBISHI PAJERO 3.0L vehicle. As a result, three individuals died at the scene, and two others were taken to medical facilities with injuries.

A site inspection has been conducted, and appropriate examinations have been appointed.
