VIDEO: What did Mirzoyan and Lavrov discuss? Details

On May 12, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who is in Tajikistan's capital Dushanbe for the meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council, met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. This was reported by the Armenian Foreign Ministry.

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the results of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's official visit to Russia on April 19-20 and the agreements reached between the leaders of the two countries.

They addressed the implementation progress of the commitments made in the trilateral statements of November 9, 2020, January 11, 2021, and November 26, 2021.

Questions related to the formation of a commission on border delimitation and security issues between Armenia and Azerbaijan were also discussed.

The necessity of unblocking economic ties and transport communications in the region was emphasized.

Minister Mirzoyan presented Armenia's position regarding steps aimed at establishing regional peace and stability and the process of resolution with Azerbaijan.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Sergey Lavrov exchanged thoughts on the upcoming trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan.

The interlocutors also discussed issues related to further strengthening the allied relations and strategic cooperation between the two countries in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
