Video: Passenger Safely Landing Plane in Florida After Pilot Fainted

A passenger with no flying experience successfully landed a plane at a Florida airport after the pilot could no longer perform his duties.

In an audio recording obtained by CNN from LiveATC.net, the passenger can be heard telling the air traffic controller that they do not know how to fly the plane. “My pilot has passed out, and I have no idea how to fly the airplane,” the passenger said.

The air traffic controller then began instructing the passenger on how to land the plane. Ultimately, the aircraft made a successful landing at Palm Beach International Airport in Florida.
