Relatives of Officials in Syunik Receive Driving Licenses Despite Mental Health and Addiction Issues
Official forgery or negligence cases are being prepared at the Goris Police Department, according to shamshyan.com.
It has been revealed that residents of the Syunik region—33-year-old Robert Arushanyan, 45-year-old Gegham Khachvertdyan, 52-year-old Gevorg Mikayelyan, 50-year-old Artem Dininz, and 64-year-old Seyran Khachatryan—who were registered at the Syunik Regional Neurological Dispensary, are suspected of engaging in illegal transactions.
The source reports that their actions violated the regulations set by the Armenian government for obtaining driving licenses. Meanwhile, residents from Yerevan—28-year-old Tigran Khachatryan, 26-year-old Trdad Khachatryan, and Syunik residents—46-year-old Arsen Dadalyan, 25-year-old Hrach Hayrapetyan, 59-year-old Sargis Kumunts, 28-year-old Eduard Mashuryan, and 41-year-old Mayis Khachatryan—were also registered at the same dispensary, yet after registering, they were not deprived of their driving licenses, thus violating the requirements of the Armenian law concerning road traffic safety.
The source also indicates that some of the aforementioned individuals are recognized relatives of officials in Syunik and well-known figures with criminal backgrounds. Tigran and Trdad Khachatryan are the sons of the former governor of Syunik, Surik Khachatryan, known as 'Liska'. During the preliminary investigation, it will be determined under what circumstances the mentioned individuals obtained their driving licenses.
