21-Year-Old From Drakhtik Village Fired a Gun in School Gymnasium

On May 8, officers from the Gegharkunik Regional Police Department in the Chambarak division received information that a 21-year-old resident of Drakhtik Village was in possession of an illegal firearm which had been discharged.

According to the police, around 1:30 PM, the young man was located and taken into custody. A personal search revealed a "Makarov" type pistol, which preliminary information suggests was a gas pistol.

The apprehended individual confessed that on May 7, around 8 PM, he had fired the weapon in the gymnasium of the Drakhtik Village Secondary School.

A forensic examination has been ordered, and investigations are ongoing to clarify the circumstances.
