Smoke Detected in One of the Metro Trains; Passengers Evacuated

Smoke has been detected in one of the three-car trains arriving at the "Republic Square" station of Yerevan Metro, on the second line. The information was reported by the metro's official website, adding that the smoke was observed today around 5:00 PM.

Due to the train malfunction, a disruption in the traffic schedule has been registered.

It has been reported that passengers were evacuated under the instruction of the train operator and the train was moved to the electrical collection point (Depot).

A new train was promptly deployed to restore the traffic schedule on the line.

The metro management apologizes to the passengers for the inconvenience caused.
