Husband Tried to Help Wife Out of River, but Water Swept Her Away: Vardan Tadevosyan
The host of the 'Shant' television channel, Armine Jagharyan, was in a rubber boat with 6 other individuals when the boat capsized. The river's current carried the television host, who fell into the Debed River yesterday, several kilometers away, making it impossible to save her life, as reported by Vardan Tadevosyan, spokesperson for the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
It has been reported that Armine Jagharyan, the host of the show 'My Backpack and I' aired on 'Shant', has become a victim of a tragic incident while filming in a boat.
“They were in a rubber boat with 7 people onboard, one of whom was her husband. Everyone was equipped with special gear, including helmets and life jackets. The boat capsized, and the husband tried to help his wife out of the river, but they couldn't succeed because the river swept her away, separating her from the group,” said Tadevosyan.
He also stated that materials are being prepared regarding the incident, and after the forensic examination of the body, it will be determined under which article of the criminal code a criminal case will be initiated. Most likely, a case will be opened under Article 157, which pertains to violations of safety or labor protection regulations that negligently caused a person's death.
Armine Jagharyan was 31 years old and had recently gotten married.
