Armenian Boxer Wins First Match at World Championships in Istanbul

In the women’s boxing world championships taking place in Istanbul, Armenian representative Ani Hovsepyan had a victorious start in the 70 kg weight category. She achieved victory over Ukrainian Maria Saidai, as reported by the press service of the Armenian Boxing Federation.

Also traveling to Istanbul are Gayane Ter-Barseghyan (48 kg), Anush Grigoryan (50 kg), and Ekaterina Sicheva (54 kg). The world championships will conclude on May 20.
