Zelensky to Attend G7 Summit on May 8

The Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, will discuss the current situation in Ukraine with partners from G7 countries during a virtual conference scheduled for Sunday. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to participate, as stated by Christiane Hofmann, the deputy press secretary of the German government, on Friday in Berlin, according to Focus.de.

President Zelensky will join the video conference to report on the developments occurring in his country. In addition to Germany, the G7 also includes France, Italy, Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Hofmann emphasized that the virtual meeting will take place on Sunday, May 8, a historically significant date.
