Family Being Searched for Child Rescued from Debed
The Lorri regional government’s department for the protection of family, women, and children's rights is currently reviewing the family connections of a child rescued from Debed, which will determine the future of little Arevik. This information was published on the Lorri regional government’s Facebook page.
It was noted that departmental specialists visited 2-year-old Arevik, who is receiving treatment at the "Holy Mother of God" medical center in Yerevan. The director of the hospital, Nikolay Dallakyann, and the head of the intensive care unit, Anna Chobanyan, stated that the child's condition has stabilized and there is no longer a threat to her life. According to them, the hospital will keep the child for as long as necessary to organize appropriate care for her.
It is recalled that on April 25, it became known that the mother had thrown her child into the Debed River. A man had pulled the little girl from the river and brought her to the hospital (later the Minister of Emergency Situations awarded him). The child's mother was arrested.
