VIDEO: Citizens Arriving in Yerevan from Ararat Attempt to Enter Metro

Citizens who arrived in Yerevan from Ararat tried to enter the "Gortsaranayin" station to reach Baghramyan Avenue by metro. However, police blocked the entrance to the metro. The police did not allow the participants of the march to enter the metro, citing that it is a specially protected area.

The news agency Auroranews.am contacted Tatev Khachatryan, the spokesperson for the Yerevan Metro named after Karen Demirchyan. She mentioned that the police opened the metro doors and allowed the march participants to utilize the transportation service. Khachatryan noted that the participants of the demonstration are now reaching the Yerevan Youth station.

The spokesperson also informed that the metro is secured by the Police Department of Yerevan, specifically by the subdivision responsible for the metro named after Karen Demirchyan, and this should not be associated with the administration of the metro.
