Russia Will Not Accelerate Military Operations in Ukraine Until May 9

Russian military personnel will not "artificially accelerate" the conduct of the special military operation in Ukraine due to the upcoming Victory Day, stated Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, as reported by Kommersant.ru.

In response to a relevant question during an interview with Italy's Mediaset television, Lavrov said, "Our military will not artificially adjust their actions to any date, including Victory Day."

He further clarified that the pace of operations in Ukraine primarily depends on the necessity to minimize risks for the civilian population and Russian military personnel.

The special military operation by Russia in Ukraine has been ongoing since February 24.
