Today is the Memorial Day of world-famous composer Aram Khachaturian.

Aram Khachaturian was born on June 6, 1903, in the Cojari suburb of Tbilisi (formerly Tiflis), into a family of Armenian craftsmen.

In 1944, Khachaturian wrote the state anthem of the Armenian SSR, and a year later, as the war ended, he also composed his Third Symphony.

In 1954, Khachaturian created one of his most significant works, the ballet “Spartacus.”

He passed away on May 1, 1978.
