EU to Phase Out Russian Oil by Year-End
The European Union will halt imports of Russian coal this summer and will completely phase out Russian oil by the end of the year. This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in an interview with The Indian Express.
According to him, Russia's actions in Ukraine are unacceptable, and therefore, the West's sanctions policy is necessary, despite the economic costs in some EU countries.
