Azerbaijan Decides to Establish New Checkpoints on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Border

The Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers has made changes to the "Number of Checkpoints and the List of Areas Where They Are Located," according to the government website of the Cabinet. The decision was signed by Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov. This was reported by the Azerbaijani service of Sputnik news agency.

According to the decision, as is the case with other checkpoints along the Azerbaijani state border, the names (numbers) of the specified checkpoints and the list of areas where they are located have been clearly defined. In accordance with the changes, four additional checkpoints have been allocated: the Eyvazli checkpoint in the Kubatlu region (near the village of Vorotan) on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, the Ghazanchi checkpoint in the Zangilan region (Kovsakan) (near the village of Ghazanchi) also on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, the Fuzuli International Airport checkpoint (in the Fuzuli region, near the village of Mirzajamal), and the Zagatala International Airport checkpoint (in the Zagatala region, near the village of Mukakh).
