Aliyev Makes a Statement
The Azerbaijani delegation is ready to start negotiations with Armenia on a peace agreement. Azerbaijani media reports this.
This was announced today by authoritarian leader Ilham Aliyev during a meeting with France's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Eastern Partnership envoy Brice Roquefeuille.
It is noteworthy that today, on May 2, the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, will meet with Azerbaijani President's assistant Hikmet Hajiyev in Brussels. Grigoryan mentioned in an interview with 'Liberty' that there is a possibility that his meeting with Hajiyev could be followed by a meeting between Prime Minister Pashinyan and Aliyev. 'If we can obtain answers to all questions in Brussels, we can also discuss a meeting at the level of the country’s leaders in Brussels,' Grigoryan noted.
