There Is No Connection Between Artsakh and Armenia Foreign Ministers: Hraparak

The newspaper Hraparak reports that there has been no connection between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Artsakh, Ararat Mirzoyan and Davit Babayan, for a considerable time. They have not met since September of last year, and there is no information on any phone conversations between the foreign ministers on the Artsakh Foreign Ministry's website. According to the website, their last meeting was on September 7, during which issues related to the cooperation between the two Armenian states in the field of foreign policy, regional processes, and the resolution of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict were discussed.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing and deepening cooperation, maintaining a high level of collaboration between the foreign ministries of the two Armenian republics, and regularly organizing discussions on matters of mutual interest.

We asked Davit Babayan what is causing the severance of communication. He stated, "The connections between our foreign ministries are strong; as for the nuances of work and discussions, that is another matter... we must ensure that communication remains strong between the structures, regardless of who is in charge."

We requested him to directly state when Davit Babayan last saw Ararat Mirzoyan. "At the inauguration of the President of Armenia," was his response. We were referring to when their last practical meeting was. "Well, I have already mentioned the meeting," Babayan interrupted, confirming reports that he has not met with Mirzoyan for several months.
