Russian Actor Sergey Karyakin Passes Away

Russian actor Sergey Karyakin has passed away at the age of 50 on April 28. This news was shared by actress Elena Ksenofontova on her Instagram account, as reported by Газета.

“Seryozha Karyakin is no more. A wonderful artist, friend, colleague, and human being. Illness. The kingdom of heaven be with you, Seryozhenka,” wrote Ksenofontova.

In January 2022, Karyakin had complained about an aggressive form of tongue cancer, which had robbed him of his ability to work and speak. Due to the extreme localization of the disease, the cancer was deemed inoperable.

Karyakin was well-known for his roles in TV series such as “В круге первом,” “Высший пилотаж,” “Обратная сторона Луны,” and “Перевал Дятлова,” as well as appearing in the film “Нелюбовь.”
