On April 26, 29-year-old Sona Mnatsakanyan, who was hit by a car at the intersection of Leo and Paronyan streets in Yerevan, tragically lost her life. Sona was pregnant and expecting her first child.

Sona Mnatsakanyan's husband, Ashot Vardanian, shared heartfelt photos and a moving message: 'She had the most beautiful smile in the world. I was the luckiest man in the universe for 8 months and 2 days. Her smile could unite nations, and her embrace was warmer than the sun. Yesterday, she was involved in an accident and passed away, along with our yet-to-be-born daughter. If only we had more time together.'

'We met on August 24, 2021. It was a fateful event, a 60-minute conversation. I spent 59 minutes gazing at the girl sitting in the last row. The girl. We met again, and I insisted. With every sentence she spoke, I fell more and more in love. She was visionary, building her dreams for the future. A strong, petite girl creating a fantastic technological company. She always found time to build schools in the post-war periods at the expense of her sleep and comfort. She set such high standards that nothing and no one met her criteria. That's how the world saw her. She was the kindest person I have ever known.

I'm 26 years old, and she was 28. We lived in pain and loneliness until we found each other. It was destined in heaven. She was the first girl I kissed. We never argued, even once. Despite being citizens of different countries and having various life journeys, we couldn’t be more alike. It was absolute harmony and true happiness. She completely changed me. Sona, My Sona.'
