Congressman Demands Full Suspension of US Aid to Azerbaijan

Congressman Frank Pallone has stated on his Twitter account that he has requested the complete cessation of US security assistance to Azerbaijan.

“I have sent a letter to 63 members of Congress asking for economic assistance to be provided to Armenia and Artsakh. This funding will help strengthen democracy in Armenia, support economic development, stabilize civil society, and aid in the fight against COVID-19.

Artsakh and Armenia continue to struggle with a persistent humanitarian crisis stemming from Azerbaijan's deadly invasion. We have also called for a complete ban on the security assistance provided by the US to Azerbaijan and have urged the immediate release of all Armenian prisoners of war,” he wrote.
