VIDEO: Tomatoes Thrown at Macron

During a visit to Serzh's town, French President Emmanuel Macron was hit by several tomatoes, as reported by BFMTV. The broadcast showed scenes of tomatoes flying towards Macron, who was in the center of a crowd. Subsequently, the presidential guard quickly opened an umbrella over the French leader’s head for protection. The broadcast then cut off for a few seconds.

This is not the first time France's president has faced an attack during public engagements. Last summer, while visiting the Drôme department, he was slapped by a man. At one point, after a handshake, one of the attendees lunged at the president. The assailant was later sentenced to four months in prison.
