VIDEO: How the person who assaulted the director of 'Antares' was apprehended
On April 27, at 21:55, the Central Division of the Police received a report: the director of the 'Antares' publishing house had called 1-02 and stated that protesters had attacked him near 12 Leo Street and inflicted injuries.
On the same day, at 21:58, a report was received from the 1st University Hospital that a 49-year-old man from Ararat Province had sought medical assistance with a diagnosis of 'nasal fracture'. This was reported by the Police.
An operational group found that several participants from the protest held at the mentioned address, exhibiting blatant disrespect towards society, had attacked the director of the publishing house, uttered sexual slurs, and thrown objects in his direction. A 49-year-old resident of Ararat Province intervened in the situation and sustained bodily injuries.
Police services from various divisions, upon realizing the operational data, established that the act was committed by a 42-year-old man residing in Yerevan, who was located on Republic Street in the capital on April 28 at 20:30 and was apprehended on suspicion of hooliganism, then presented to the investigative body.
The 42-year-old man has been arrested and subsequently detained. An investigation is underway.
