Suspect Who Fired Shots at a Notorious Businessman's Range Rover in Vernissage Found One Year Later
On April 26, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia received operational information, and after verifying these details, officers from the department, in collaboration with the Central Police Division's Criminal Investigation Unit, carried out a special operation in Yerevan. As a result, they located a wanted individual on serious criminal charges at one of the private houses in the Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan.
According to shamshyan.com, the suspect is 32-year-old Sargsyan Grigoryan, a resident of Yerevan, who had been wanted since August 2021 by the Central Police Division for committing crimes under the provisions of Article 34-104 (part 2, clause 1), Article 235 (part 1), and Article 185 (part 2, clause 2) of the Armenian Criminal Code.
Reports indicate that Grigoryan was handed over from the Central Police Division to the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia for the Central and Norq Marash administrative districts. He is suspected of firing shots at the Range Rover with license plate 50 DD 555, which belongs to a well-known businessman, near Vernissage in Yerevan on August 1, 2021.
