19-Year-Old Girl Injured in Hit-and-Run in Yerevan

On April 26, a hit-and-run incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 15:20, a 54-year-old resident of Yerevan, Mkrtich J., struck 19-year-old Mariam G. with his Mazda CX-5 on Yeghvard Highway, in front of house number 89.

According to shamshyan.com from the scene, the driver did not flee and assisted the medical team that arrived promptly, providing first aid on-site before being transported to Armenia Medical Center.

At the scene, a citizen informed the police that a white vehicle was the one at fault, having hit the girl and pushed her into the Mazda, after which the driver of the white vehicle fled the scene.

The Mazda driver underwent a sobriety test and was found to be sober. The patrol service and the investigative department are taking necessary measures to verify the information regarding the hit-and-run by the white vehicle, to identify the driver, and to locate the driver and the vehicle.
