16 and 17-Year-Old Girls Threaten to Kill 71-Year-Old Woman in Yard of Yerevan's School No. 166

On April 23, at 20:20, 71-year-old Lyudmila A. contacted the police operational management center to report that at 19:40, she had observed two girls threatening a child with a knife in the yard of School No. 166 in Nor Nork’s 5th district. When she approached to prevent the incident, they threatened her with the knife as well, saying they would kill her. This was reported by the Armenian police.

As a result of the measures taken by the officers of the Nor Nork police department, two girls aged 16 and 17 were detained from Mari Street on suspicion of threatening murder, and they provided confessional testimonies. Preparations are underway for further investigations.

It is reminded that just days ago, Aram Gevorgyan, a close associate of the Arushanyan family, reported in a Facebook broadcast that a girl had attacked Mrs. Lida, the mother of a hero from Artsakh.

“On the evening of April 23, while Mrs. Lida was returning home, a girl from the 9th grade threatened her with a knife. As she was nearing her home, she encountered two individuals in her neighborhood, near a building where displaced people from Artsakh reside. Mrs. Lida was walking about 3 meters away and heard one of them using offensive language, claiming that Artsakh people had come and filled the area, and they needed to be removed, kicked out. Mrs. Lida admonished them, saying that those people did not come here for fun. Following this, the girl pulled out a quite large knife with a white handle and attacked Mrs. Lida, asking, ‘Hey old lady, who are you to say something like that? Do you know who my father is? I will cut your throat, I will chop off your head, and I will know the place of your family; I will rip you to pieces.’ Mrs. Lida stated that she defended herself with her bag to avoid injury to her face,” reported Aram Gevorgyan, adding that the girl who attacked was pulled away by her friend.

According to Gevorgyan, after the incident, Mrs. Lida called the police, who accompanied her to the location, and it was later revealed that the girls were 9th grade students at School No. 166 — Elen and Jemma.
