Ukrainian Group of 30 Brutally Assaults 4 Russians in Greece: Details

Russian citizen, historian, and archaeologist Oksana Maryakhina and her friends were brutally assaulted by a group of Ukrainians in Greece. The Ukrainians struck her on the head, face, and delivered kicks to her body. This was reported by Maryakhina herself to RIA Novosti.

According to her, the attack occurred on Sunday, April 24, while they were celebrating Easter. “My friends and I were at Agios Kosmas beach in Athens, there were many people. It was already evening, and our group dispersed, leaving just four of us. Not far from us was a group of Ukrainians, about 30 people. When we were gathering our belongings, they started shouting, ‘Glory to Ukraine!’ Our boys, only two remained, shouted back, ‘Glory to Russia!’ In response, the Ukrainians uttered obscene words and threats,” stated Maryakhina.

According to her, the Ukrainians, armed with various objects, attacked them. She noted that she tried to break up the fight when blows were being dealt to her, and that she was struck in the face with a metallic object.

A report about the incident has been filed with the police. Authorities have arrested two foreigners, who have been charged with attempted murder, insulting the symbols of another state, and committing crimes with racist motives.
