Severe Condition of Toddler Rescued from Debed River with Chest and Abdominal Injuries
On April 25, a two-year-old child was found in the Debed River in Alaverdi. After being pulled from the water, the child was transported to the hospital in critical condition. This was reported by Gevorg Derderyan, the spokesperson for the ‘Saint Astvatsamayr’ Medical Center, on his Facebook page.
Following discussions among doctors from regional hospitals, a decision was made to transfer the child to Yerevan. The medical team at ‘Saint Astvatsamayr’ has admitted the child to the intensive care unit. The child is suffering from abdominal injuries, chest injuries, and drowning. The condition is severe, and the child is under strict medical supervision.
It should be noted that it was reported yesterday evening that a two-year-old girl had fallen into the Debed River. Moments ago, the police announced that the child’s mother has reported to the police, stating that she had thrown her infant daughter into the river from a height of 3-4 meters with the intent to take her life.
