Group Assaults 62-Year-Old Man in Yerevan, Who Later Dies: Investigative Committee
The Investigative Committee of Armenia is conducting an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the death of a 62-year-old man, under Article 112, Parts 2, Clauses 6 and 14 of the Criminal Code, at the Erevan Investigative Department for the administrative regions of Erebuni and Nubarashen.
According to preliminary data, on April 24, 2022, at around 20:20, a group of individuals engaged in a dispute with the aforementioned 62-year-old man on Khaghagh Doni Street in Yerevan. During the altercation, they struck him multiple times with their hands and feet, causing injuries to various parts of his body.
Due to the injuries sustained, the man died at his home on Nor Aresh Street at approximately 23:30 on the same day. A forensic examination of the body has been ordered during the pre-investigation, and several individuals have been interrogated.
An investigation is underway. Necessary measures are being implemented to clarify all circumstances of the case and to ensure an objective and comprehensive inquiry.
