Police Report on Attack of Artsakh Hero's Mother by 9th Grade Student
On the evening of April 23, the mother of Artsakh hero Davit Arushanyan was attacked by a 9th-grade girl who threatened her with a knife.
Aram Gevorgyan, a close friend of Davit Arushanyan’s family, recounted the incident during a live Facebook broadcast: "On the evening of April 23, when Mrs. Lida was returning home, she was threatened with a knife by a 9th-grade girl. As she was nearing her neighborhood, two individuals were coming from the opposite direction, and in that area, there is a building where displaced persons from Artsakh reside. Mrs. Lida was walking about 3 meters away when she heard one of them using profanity and saying that 'the people from Artsakh have come and filled this place up, they need to be removed, sent away.' Mrs. Lida admonished them, saying it was not right, and those people did not come here on a good day. After this, the girl pulled out a fairly large knife with a white handle and attacked Mrs. Lida, saying, 'Hey, old woman, who are you to speak to me like that? Do you know who my father is? I’ll cut your throat, I’ll cut off your head, I’ll know what to do with your people, I’ll tear you to pieces.' Mrs. Lida said, 'I defended myself with my bag so that she wouldn’t harm my face,'" Gevorgyan reported, adding that the incident occurred in the 5th district of Nor Nork, and that the girl’s friend pulled her away afterward.
According to Aram Gevorgyan, after the incident, Mrs. Lida called the police, who took her to the location of the incident, and later found out that the girls were 9th-grade students at School No. 166, named Elen and Jemma.
