Turkey's Parliament Speaker Returns MP's Bill Recognizing Armenian Genocide

The Speaker of Turkey's Parliament, Mustafa Şentop, has returned a bill presented by pro-Kurdish opposition MP Garo Paylan aimed at recognizing the Armenian Genocide. This was reported by Ermenihaber.am.

The decision was grounded on the fact that the proposal contradicts the internal regulations of the Turkish Parliament.

It is noteworthy that Paylan has submitted a bill for recognizing the Armenian Genocide once again ahead of April 24 this year, during which the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) gathers to discuss related matters.
