The Result of the Catastrophic Political Idea Proposed by the Government Leader: Tatoyan

On April 14th, during a session in the National Assembly, the government leader announced the possibility of surrendering Nagorno-Karabakh under different circumstances, stating, "The events in Parukh are an example for you - piece by piece." This was reported on Facebook by the former Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan.

"It is evident that this was done to placate public discontent and justify Azerbaijan’s incursion into Parukh. In reality, what happened in Khramort and Parukh is the result of the catastrophic political idea proposed by the government leader regarding the 'mirror withdrawal of forces,' regardless of the factors involved," he wrote.

"Therefore, the leader’s speech was an attempt to mislead the public and cover up the disastrous consequences of his approach to the 'mirror withdrawal of forces' to prevent public dissatisfaction in the event of similar developments in the future. In other words, in this issue as well, political interests and the preservation of office prevail over the security of Armenia and Artsakh," he noted.
