Tragic Incident in Yerevan: Body of Foreigner Found in Basement Structure

Today, April 22, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 06:20, police officers from the first battalion of the Yerevan garrison of the Patrol Service were on duty when they were approached by citizens who reported that there was a body in the yard of building 54 on Raffi Street in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district.

According to shamshyan.com, the patrol officers arrived promptly under the command of battalion commander Aram Dadayan and acting platoon commander Armen Mkrtchyan. Officers from the criminal investigation department of the Malatia police determined that the individual found in the adjacent basement structure was identified as 41-year-old Aleksey Shlegaian. According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic expert, there were no signs of violence on the body.
