Mark Saghatelyan's Widow Appeals to Police: What is the Connection to the Arabkir Prosecutor?

«Jamanak» newspaper reports that Nune Mikaelyan, the widow of actor Mark Saghatelyan, has approached the editorial office and stated that she is in a desperate situation. She claims: «Karen Manukyan, who is the brother of Lusine Manukyan, the wife of Arabkir Prosecutor Sisak Khachatryan, took a total of $141,000 from me under the pretense of returning these funds, and then, with his wife Lolita Manukyan, took an additional $100,000 from me under the pretense of selling their apartment in the Vahagni district of Yerevan. However, they never sold the apartment and returned only $74,000 of the total amount. As a result, I have incurred a property damage of $167,000.»

According to our source, she has even appealed to the police, and a criminal case has been initiated with signs of fraud. Nune Mikaelyan expressed her fears and suspicions that Arabkir Prosecutor Sisak Khachatryan might be involved in the case to help his close associates avoid punishment: «I had no other option, I am making this public so that law enforcement agencies remain vigilant and do not cover up the criminal case.»

We also spoke with Lolita Manukyan, wife of Karen Manukyan, who assured us that Nune Mikaelyan is lying. Furthermore, Lolita Manukyan's lawyer, Masis Melkonyan, claimed that it is quite possible that charges could be brought against Nune Mikaelyan for engaging in fraud. «I urge individuals not to falsely slander, as there has been no external interference in this case and there cannot be; an objective investigation is underway,» he assures.
