Accident Near Ashtarak Bridge Involving BMW and 06, Injuries Reported Including Child

On April 22, a serious car accident occurred in the Aragatsotn region. At around 18:50, at the 26th kilometer of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, near the Ashtarak bridge, a collision took place between a BMW and a ВАЗ 2106 vehicle.

According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, three individuals, including a child, were taken to medical facilities with injuries—two were transported to the Ashtarak Medical Center, while another was taken to a hospital in Yerevan. The impact caused the ВАЗ 2106 to veer off the roadway and roll over several times, ultimately ending up in a ditch.

Civilian bystanders were the first to reach out to the injured, followed by the rapid response of firefighters from the Ashtarak Number 19 Emergency Rescue Unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. They managed to turn the ВАЗ 2106 upright and safely retrieve the child from underneath the vehicle.

The police are investigating the identities of the drivers and the injured parties.
