Kadyrov Announces Capture of Mariupol by Russian Forces

The leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has announced that Russian forces have taken control of Mariupol. This was reported by RT.

“The city has been captured completely and irreversibly. The entire area has been systematically cleared of nationalists... the administrative building of the strategically significant Azovstal metallurgical plant has been taken under control, and the surrounding area has been cleared,” he wrote on Telegram.

Kadyrov added that such a result was inevitable after the breakthrough of Mariupol's defenses. “I am confident that Russian soldiers, as well as fighters from the Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics, are awaiting even brighter victories ahead. After all, we are engaged in carrying out truly great objectives, and success always accompanies a just cause,” he emphasized.
