Earthquake Near Bavra: 4-5 Magnitude Felt in Several Villages of Shirak Province
On April 14, at 04:13 local time (00:13 GMT), the seismic monitoring network of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.7. The quake occurred in the Armenia-Georgia border zone, 15 km northeast of Bavra village, at a depth of 10 km, with geographical coordinates of 41.15°N latitude and 43.98°E longitude.
The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral area reached 5 magnitude.
The earthquake was felt in the Shirak Province, in the villages of Bavra, Saragyugh, Ghazanchi, Ashotsk, Tavushut, Metsavan, and Sarchipat, with an intensity of 4-5 magnitude, and in Tashir city, with an intensity of 4 magnitude.
