Details of Major Fire on Republic Avenue

A major fire broke out in Yerevan today, April 21. At approximately 11:15 AM, the Emergency Situations Ministry's Rescue Service 911 crisis management center received a report that smoke was visible from one of the apartments in building number 76/1 on Republic Avenue, and there were indications that a person was inside.

According to shamshyan.com from the scene, two firefighting teams from Yerevan's 8th and 13th fire-rescue squads promptly arrived. A fire truck was also dispatched to the location.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. The building has been temporarily de-energized and stripped of gas. Preliminary information suggests that the fire was caused by electrical wires.
