VIDEO: Launches of Russia's 'Bal' Missile System
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the crew of the 'Bal' coastal missile system has launched four high-precision missiles towards designated ground targets in Ukraine from the shores of the Black Sea. Ukrainian air defense systems shot down two tactical 'Tochka-U' missiles, reported the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov.
"The Russian air defense measures have shot down six Ukrainian drones over the settlements of Podvisokoye, Chistovodovka, Yakovenkovo, and Pokrovskoye. In the regions of Donetskoe and Skilevatoye, two tactical 'Tochka-U' missiles were shot down in the air," he stated.
Additionally, due to strikes from high-precision missiles in the Novovorontsovka and Kisyelyovka regions of Kherson, up to 40 personnel of the Ukrainian troops were destroyed, along with 7 units of military equipment. According to Konashenkov, the Russian operational-tactical and army aviation during the night struck 73 Ukrainian military facilities, destroying 6 tanks, 9 armored vehicles, and a battery of howitzers.
He noted that among the destroyed facilities were 4 command points, 57 locations of personnel and accumulation of Ukrainian military equipment, 7 strongholds, and 4 ammunition depots. As a result of the strikes, 6 tanks and 9 armored vehicles, as well as a 152 mm battery of 'Msta-B' howitzers, were destroyed.
According to the Ministry of Defense, since the start of military special operations in Ukraine, a total of 140 aircraft, 496 drones, 253 anti-aircraft systems, 2388 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 256 multiple rocket launchers, 1029 artillery pieces, and 2232 units of special military automotive equipment have been destroyed.
