As previously reported, it became known last night that a 2-year-old girl had fallen into the Debed River. Police have informed that the girl's mother filed a report and stated that she had thrown her young daughter into the river from a height of 3-4 meters with the intent to unlawfully take her life.

The child was found and rescued by 32-year-old Zhiraire Poghosyan, a resident of the Piruzyan neighborhood of Alaverdi. Auroranews.am has managed to get in touch with the young man who saved the girl's life. Details are in the video.
