Ukraine Comments on Reports of Receiving New Aircraft from Western Partners

The command of the Ukrainian Air Force has announced that it has not received new aircraft from its Western partners and that only spare parts have been provided to Kyiv.

“Ukraine has not received new aircraft from its partners. With the support of the U.S. government, the Ukrainian Air Force has received spare parts and components for the restoration and repair of its existing aircraft fleet,” the command stated in a message shared on its Facebook page, as reported by TASS.

On Tuesday, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby stated that Ukraine recently received additional aircraft as military aid, but not from the U.S. He noted that he would not disclose further details. However, according to Kirby, Kyiv now has a larger number of operational fighter jets than it did two weeks ago.
