Pyongyang Considers Events in Bucha as Western Provocation
The Democratic People's Republic of Korea perceives the events that occurred in Bucha as a Western provocation aimed at undermining and isolating Russia, according to a statement from the DPRK embassy conveyed to TASS in Moscow.
"The massacre in Bucha clearly demonstrates that the United States and the West are reckless in their underhanded methods to achieve their unclean objectives of tarnishing Russia's image and isolating it on the international stage," the embassy's statement reads.
On April 3, the Russian Ministry of Defense denied accusations from the Kyiv regime regarding the killing of civilians in Bucha.
The agency stated that the Russian armed forces completely left Bucha on March 30, while the "evidence of crimes" only appeared on the fourth day when employees from Ukraine's security service arrived in the city.
The Ministry also emphasized that on March 31, Bucha's mayor, Anatoly Fedoruk, confirmed in a video message that there were no Russian soldiers in the city, while he did not mention about the executed locals found on the streets.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called the situation in Bucha a "staged attack."
