Extraordinary Incident in Yerevan: 19-Year-Old Reports Stabbing by Aunt's Daughter
The Malatia Police Department's criminal investigation unit has begun preparations regarding an incident that occurred on April 18 in the administrative area of Malatia-Sebastia.
According to Shamshyan.com, the preparations were initiated following a report received at around 18:50 from the "Astghik" medical center regarding a citizen being admitted with a "stab wound to the abdominal area." A police operational group led by Chief of Criminal Investigations Raffi Bagratunians was dispatched to the hospital.
While doctors were attending to the injured individual, Malatia police, headed by police chief Andranik Meloyan, identified the victim. The individual, a 19-year-old resident of Yerevan identified as H.M., reported that he was stabbed by his aunt's 25-year-old daughter.
Authorities from the Malatia Police Department's criminal investigation unit have determined that H.M. is registered with the "Avan" mental health center and that he inflicted the damage upon himself with a knife.
