US and Japan Conduct Large-Scale Military Exercises
The United States Navy strike group has conducted large-scale military exercises with the Japan Self-Defense Forces, utilizing the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in the East China Sea and the Sea of Japan. This was reported by RT, referencing statements from Japan's Minister of Defense Nobuo Kishi.
“Japan and the United States have demonstrated that they maintain a high level of cooperation and can prevent attempts to alter the situation in our region by unilateral force,” the statement said.
According to Kishi, the Japanese side engaged missile destroyers, Air Self-Defense Forces, and amphibious forces created to defend remote islands. The exercises lasted for ten days and aimed to exert a deterrent effect on the military activities of China and North Korea.
