Turkey Launches New Military Operation in Northern Iraq: Anadolu

The Turkish Ministry of Defense has initiated a new military operation in the northern region of Iraq, according to Anadolu.

Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar stated that the aim of the operation is to prevent terrorist attacks. He mentioned that Turkish aircraft have already targeted the shelters, bunkers, tunnels, caves, and storage facilities of the PKK (Workers' Party of Kurdistan).

“So far, our operation is proceeding successfully, as planned. The objectives set in the first phase have been achieved... Our fight will continue until the last terrorist is neutralized,” Akar said.
