Major Car Accident in Yerevan: Toyota Camry and BMW Collide, Injuries Reported, BMW Driver Found Drunk

A major car accident occurred today in Yerevan. Around 20:15 on the Artashat Highway, in front of the number 28 electric substation, a BMW driven by 33-year-old Davit Hovsepyan collided with a Toyota Camry driven by 43-year-old Arayik D.

According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, two people were transported to the "Erebuni" medical center with bodily injuries. Citizens and an operational medical team that arrived promptly provided first aid to the injured on-site before their transfer to the hospital.

Materials are being prepared regarding the incident. Both drivers underwent sobriety tests, revealing that the BMW driver was under the influence of alcohol, while the Toyota driver was sober. Notably, the BMW driver had been previously penalized for driving under the influence just a month ago. The patrol service is working to establish the identities of the injured.
